OI-061 – Information sharing across information eco-systems for multimodal integration
Sharing of information according to SeaSWIM principals is not only of value for actors involved in the maritime part of the transport chain. The information provided by these actors can also be utilized by other transport modes. The sea voyage can be regarded as one part of a larger multi modal transportation system. Therefore, relevant information shared in the port community should be available to actors in integrated transportation systems and vice versa, to enable multimodal integration.
